I’m not going to lie, I had a hard time getting myself adjusted. It was like I was running, but my mind and body were elsewhere. I felt I was struggling with myself to push on at 20 minutes. It didn’t start feeling better until I got past 31 minutes and some teenagers waved at me on their scooters afterward some older men gave me a thumbs up as I passed and said “Good!” and I said “Fighting!”
I need to be my own cheering crowd. When it gets tough I have to think of a way to get myself to get going and not slow down. At 55 minutes I was toast. My body keeps telling me I’m extremely tired but I ignore it until I find something that pulls me into a sprint. That being so tired is making me think when will it get easier on my body? Perhaps I should run just at 50 minutes tomorrow and see how I feel. Also, it’s time to go in a different direction, I’m getting bored of the same old route.
Stats: 1:02:46, 4.74 miles, 13:14 pace (I did ran the same amount of miles on Wednesday at 1:06:07 at a 13:56 pace–I’m getting faster!)
